I am a historian and a writer, author of the non-fiction books Communist Gourmet (2015 by Zhanet 45, 2021 by CEU Press in English), and Rebellious Cooks (Bloomsbury 2021). In January 2024 I completed a four-year post-doctoral research project at the Institute for Social Movements at the Ruhr University of Bochum, Germany, and currently I am a postdoctoral researcher at the KU Leuven, Belgium, where I coordinate the Forum for Central and Eastern Europe.
